With a deep curiosity about the world and its people, I strive to live a life of exploration, adventure, and cultural exchange. After finishing a recent stint working in Japan, I took a step back to evaluate what I was looking for in my career and life. I realised that in both my personal and professional life, problem-solving was a key skill I relied on and one that consistently brought me joy. After researching various options, software development was the clear choice, allowing me to combine my creative streak with my love of technical challenges. When I am not working, I enjoy experimenting with new dishes, spending time outdoors hiking, and exploring cities, and crafting my next move in strategy games.

Northcoders is a leading provider of code bootcamps that regularly updates its course to account for industry standards, practices, and required skills. The course consisted of a 90-hour pre-course and then a 13-week full-time intensive bootcamp that covered fundamentals, backend development, and frontend development.

Craft SEO-optimized content and manage social media, significantly enhancing online presence for clients such as COD Kitchens & Appliances and The Cheshire Cookery School. Focus on product-centric and broad-appeal topics to drive web traffic and customer engagement. Create newsletters and social media content based around this content.

Operations and Logistics Manager | June 2018 – June 2019
Provided complete staffing and catering support to a range of clients participating in events such as Cannes Lions 2019 and the 2019 World Economic Forum. Clients ranged from The Wall Street Journal and Google to Facebook and Vice. Arranged all staff travel needs; calculated estimated product requirements; allocated, ordered, and supplied event stock and equipment; provided on-site management of staff and inventory; worked closely with the finance department to ensure accurate bookkeeping. Organised staff travel logistics, including coordinating the international and domestic travel logistics for over a hundred employees across seven different countries for a single event.

Event Manager, Brand Ambassador | June 2017 – October 2021
Meticulously managed all bar, kitchen, and waitstaff to ensure quality customer service and smooth event experiences. Confidently represented major brands like Schweppes, Dubliner, and Coca-Cola at well-attended international events including London Cocktail Week and Taste of London. Organized and led informative masterclasses and lectures, instructing guests in inventive recipes based around the brand products, demonstrated complete technical knowledge in products and brand history, orchestrated tastings with VIP event guests.

Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme

Assistant Language Teacher | November 2021 – August 2023
Planned fun, informative, and interesting English lessons for children ages 7 to 15 in three different schools in Japan. Was part of a pilot scheme that aimed to enhance primary English education, culminating in a lesson observed by the Japanese Ministry of Education. Provided one-on-one tutoring and debate education to four high school age students for regional speech competitions. After their tutoring, all tutees placed first or second two years in a row. Actively participated in cultural exchange by writing for the local newspaper, volunteering at festivals, teaching evening classes on a variety of topics, and conducting a cooking class on traditional Cypriot cuisine by town office request, enriching community engagement.

Awarded for dedicated leadership as the producer for the comedy show, a key member of the comedy team for the magazine, and the social secretary of the society, earning lifelong honorary membership for my contributions.
